Company History

1960’s
1969: Dieter Reithmeier begins bricklaying in Austria and England.

1970’s
1972: Dieter Reithmeier moves to Australia and continues his career, working with a local           bricklaying company.
1974: Dieter and wife Pauline establish Eastern Suburbs Bricklaying Service and commence           building works in the Sydney Area. The business focuses on bricklaying and repairs.
1979: As the business grew, Dieter, with his wife Pauline, set up the company Eastern           Suburbs Bricklaying Services Pty. Ltd. The company began specialising in building           repairs and in particular the repair and replacement of arch bars and lintels.

1980’s
1985: Eastern Suburbs Bricklaying Service moves into its Alexandria yard as it expands its           scale of operation.

1990’s
1993: The company moves to its current location, Botany. The work force now consists of           several teams of valued employee’s which includes: Office staff, Supervisors,           tradesmen and labourers.
1996: The trading name Dapcor Building Repairs is registered to reflect the nature of           the company, Sydney wide remedial work.
1997: Dapcor becomes a true family company when, Christoph, the eldest of three sons,           begins his career with the company. Brothers Oliver and Alex soon follow.
1999: Dapcor launches its first website.

2000’s
2004: Dapcor celebrates it’s 30th Anniversary.
2007: Dapcor establishes its own OHS Management System and implements a wide range           of improvements to maintain its safety record.
2009: The three sons: Christoph, Oliver and Alex Reithmeier continue the legacy of a           company with over 35 years experience in the construction industry, while both Dieter           and Pauline continue to oversee operations as directors of the company.

Future Targets

2010’s
2010: To achieve industry recognition for Dapcor’s OHS system, as an end result of its 3           year OHS Reform.
