This boutique apartment building in North Sydney had some common complaints needing remedial work. Built in the 1950s, the point work and mortar between the brickwork had softened and lost strength, and there were concerns with cavity ties.
We refurbished and repointed the facade and completely repainted the internal walls. Old windows and sliding doors were replaced with aluminium and the balustrade also updated. Both internal and external lintels were replaced and we rendered the steel lintels, which were in turn fire rated.
This kind of work is often messy, but we were able to manage it cleanly so there was minimal disruption to the lives of tenants.
