The project was timed for the quiet winter months when visitor numbers are low, making the project timeline a tight one. In addition there was a high number of rain weather events.
This program restraint was overcome by careful reprogramming and implementing shift work, enabling the project to be completed before the summer began.
Precision was required at all stages. The tolerance of the pool walls was challenging to achieve over the 50 metre length, and existing concrete walls had large variations in alignments.
We prepared the pool substrate with a special floor and wall leveller in order to achieve a straight surface, with maximum tolerances of 2 millimetres over the full length of the pool.
